Show highlights

The joint stand of BelNefteKhim represented the national pavilion of the Republic of Belarus, which included the country’s leading petrochemical enterprises such as Grodno Azot, Naftan, Mozyr Oil Refinery, SvetlogorskKhimvolokno, Mineral Wax Plant, and Lakokraska. These companies of the Belarussian petrochemical industry showed high pressure polyethylene, a wide range of polyacrylonitrile fibres, glass fibres and products on their basis, polyamide fibres and yarns, cord fabrics, as well as primary polyamide-6 and composites on its basis, biofuel, varnishes, paints and other products. Delegates from Belarus also took part in the Khimia conference programme.

Thanks to state support measures, companies from several Russian regions had the opportunity to present their products internationally and enter into new export contracts.

Developments from Mari El have taken their rightful place among the industry leaders. They were presented by such companies as Neon (powder paints), Meta-Chrom (chromatographs, gas analysers), and Kristall OKTB (pumping equipment).

The Omsk region was represented by Policon and the Engineering Chemical Technology Center (ECTC). The companies introduced their comprehensive projects for the automation of oil and gas, pharmaceutical, perfumery, cosmetics and chemical production, and a full range of engineering services.

Three companies from the Vladimir region took part in the show: Emerald Ecotehcnologies (develops and manufactures electrochemical systems based on electrochemical activation technology), Macromer (manufactures polyurethanes, epoxies), and Evolution (produces moisture swellable polyurethane profile and moisture swellable polyurethane cork).

Mikhail Ivanov, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, visited the Russian regional stands. The deputy minister drew special attention to the fact that some developments presented by these companies were important for import substitution and could meet the needs of the Russian domestic market. Representatives of the companies spoke about their products, their applications, and shared their plans for the future.

Khimia 2022 showcased a wide range of raw materials for the chemical, petrochemical, food and medical industries, construction, agricultural chemistry, oil and gas sector, specialty and green chemistry, analytical and laboratory equipment, chemical engineering products (including pumping and compressor equipment), polymer materials, the latest technologies and R&D, engineering, automation and digitalisation of production services, chemical synthesis products, fuels, reagents, catalysts, chemical fibres, composite materials and plastics, as well as equipment for transporting chemical and petrochemical products and solutions for improving the environmental safety of chemical production.

For the first time, Startup ChemZone included a Centre for Assistance to Innovative Development that brought together organisations, including the Moscow Agency of Innovations, which supported small, innovative entrepreneurship.

The Startup Zone also presented new developments and equipment by Ecotop, ECORD Dyes and Bend Engineering. Among the innovations were a plant for processing organic waste into diesel fuel, unique dyes for household and auto chemicals, and industrial equipment for micro hydraulic shock cleaning of surfaces and pipelines.

Alexey Romashechkin, co-owner of ECORD Dyes

“We came to Khimia’s Startup ChemZone with the aim of gaining new customers. During all three days of the show, there was quite a large flow of visitors. We had visitors at our stand from various regions of Russia, even from Vladivostok. We see our main competitive advantage in the fact that we can offer customers original colours that other suppliers don't have.”

The Employment Centre assisted employers in their recruitment efforts, helped jobseekers to find jobs, and gave advice on current issues.
